McGarvey Custom Homes has broken ground for another estate model in Quail West. Designed by Weber Design Group and showcasing a refined and contemporary interior design by Tina Margrander of Agostino’s Interiors, the Brentwood will be a large and luxurious furnished model incorporating all the master-built standards, materials and craftsmanship that define a McGarvey home to create a residence fine-honed at every stage in its construction process.

Wide profile interior doors, satin stainless steel Emtek hardware, substantial hardwood millwork and tongue-and-groove wood flooring, engineered ceiling details and Andersen impact-resistant windows are some of the superior appointments in the Brentwood.

Set back behind a circular driveway, the Brentwood estate home will be a four-bedroom plus study, four-and one-half bath, plus separate pool bath, 5,336-air-conditioned-square-foot home priced at $4.5 million. Its side-entry, three-car garage and separate outdoor living areas combine for a total living area of 8,763 square feet.

Exceptional details such as an oversized second bedroom detailed like a junior master suite and an elaborately landscaped outdoor installation with water features outside the master bath are some of the elements that will distinguish the Brentwood as an outstanding residence. A fountain display will enhance its outdoor living area’s Sunnyslope lake view.

Nebulous White smooth stucco exterior walls lighten the Brentwood’s expansive front elevation. Twin cupolas and multiple wide roof lines draw your eye up to the varied deep-to-light-gray flat-shake concrete roof tiles. Its colors will be picked up in the drive and entry ways’ brick pavers. Defining stone-clad columns, a porte-cochere side-drive entry topped with bougainvillea to the left and a trellised privacy wall enclosing the master bath’s extensive watering landscaped features to the right, complete the architectural elements. Deep-blue Bahama shutters and clean-line, twin corbel pairs hold your attention across the Brentwood’s contemporary-meets-classic exterior.

The recessed entry’s tongue-and-groove ceiling detail will be echoed in the tones of the wide, custom-built mahogany-and-glass French doors installation and flanked by twin bubbler fountains. As with any McGarvey Custom Home, mature landscaping, trees and custom landscape and outdoor-lighting will be included.

Margrander’s refined-contemporary design concept using clean lines will be on view as soon as you enter and is carried on at every point throughout the model. Neutral wall colors will form the model’s backgrounds. The foyer’s beamed and back-lit ceiling will be reflected in an inlaid grid-patterned tile-in-wood floor installation. Recessed alcoves on each side will be finished in a patterned paper that introduces the sheen and glamour that accentuate the Brentwood’s appeal. Matching console tables and a central tufted leather ottoman bring more texture and interest to the area.

The central great room’s island kitchen, living and dining areas will each have stepped and varied-height floating ceiling details with dramatic hidden lighting. Stacked and pocketing slider doors meet at a right angle to form the living area’s entire rear and side walls for seamless indoor outdoor living. It will have five overlapping dropped ceiling details and an eclectic feature wall installation composed of a lower cabinetry base with a richly-grained, six-panel rustic wood application mounted above. Three close-set shelves to the right complete the artfully composed and impactful piece. Seating will be arranged around a large, clean-line sectional sofa in a plush textural fabric.

In the adjacent dining area, a wide floor-to-ceiling window wall overlooks one of the lanais and the lake beyond. Centered under a stepped tray ceiling, the simple pale wood-topped parsons-style table and chairs will have polished nickel bases complimented by three globe-shaped pendant lights hung at varying heights for a see-through view. A grid of antiqued mirror glass panels will be used on one wall for a glamorous and subtle, light-reflecting effect.

The kitchen’s large island will be stained deep Cobblestone with a subtle gray with white striated quartz countertop. The white-glazed shaker style cabinetry will have frosted glass upper display doors and the backsplash will be composed of glass tiles in watery blues and greens with a silk finish for a refined, translucent effect. Thermador appliances and a Wolf gas range complete the area under a triple level ceiling detail.  The laundry, mud room, pantry and glass-walled wine room flank the kitchen.

The flooring of the master wing’s study will be laid in a herringbone pattern and the Silverplate walls will be a deeper shade of warm gray. Its feature wall will be detailed like a working office with built-in lower cabinets and file drawers. The deep-toned textured wallpaper has a soft sheen in keeping with Margrander’s design concept, and an upper storage and display shelf detail seems to float above the work surface. The multistep vaulted ceiling details include 6-by-6 floating beams with concealed lighting.

The Repose Grey master areas are large scaled and will use pale tone-on-tone fabrics and furnishings. Intricate ceiling details will bring drama and high style to the master suite. The her closet is twice the size of his, while the separate commode rooms and vanities return to parity. The bath’s central freestanding tub will sit in front of a low wall detailed with tone-on-tone, soft cloud-white translucent tiles. Similar artisan-level floor- and wall-tile installations highlight the shower and vanity areas. The wall-to-wall, dual-entry shower area will be spa-detailed and overlook its own very private oasis of landscape and water features.

The outdoor living area will use travertine pavers with a matte finish and have a quartz-topped summer kitchen with separate bar counter, three diagonally-stepped covered lanais with skylights and an 870-square-foot pool and separate edgeless spa. The central conversation area will have a ventless gas fireplace built into its corner feature wall, faced with a strongly-vertical, cinder-gray concrete tile with a raked and brushed surface that looks like rainfall. Electric roll-down insect screens and hurricane shutters will be concealed in all the lanais’ superstructures.
