being developed by The Bonita Bay Group™ in North Naples.

Southwest Florida area since 1996. Prior to relocating to
Southwest Florida, the homebuilder was based in southern New
Jersey for more than two decades. “Mediterra is an ideal
fit with our corporate goal of building custom homes in the
best communities in Southwest Florida,” said Dan Gerner,
McGarvey’s executive vice president. “It is a
beautiful community with phenomenal amenities and a tremendous
growth rate.” The first McGarvey Custom Homes’
model in Mediterra is scheduled to break ground in the first
quarter of 2003 with the opening planned for the following
season.

the highest level of customer service and committing to create
homes consistent with the company’s principles of environmentally
sensitive development.
The Bonita Bay Group is developing Mediterra
with the same commitment to meticulous planning, environmental
stewardship, integrity and attention to detail that is evident
at its flagship community, Bonita Bay®. Bonita Bay received
the development industry’s highest international honor
when it was named the Outstanding Large-Scale Community of
the Year by the Urban Land Institute.
Honored by the Collier Building Industry
Association as the 2002 Community of the Year, Mediterra is
being created with the intimacy, charm and classical style
of the Mediterranean region of Europe. The overall master
plan for the 1,697-acre community includes less than 950 residences
and more than 1,000 acres of open space. Residents are eligible
for membership in The Club at Mediterra, which offers two
Tom Fazio-designed championship golf courses, a 25,000-square-foot
clubhouse and the first five courts of the ten-court tennis
complex.
The Sports Club, a tennis, swim and fitness
center, opened this fall. A private Beach Club with pool on
the Gulf of Mexico is under construction and on schedule to
debut in January 2003. In addition, residents enjoy Parque
Celestial, the first of six themed neighborhood parks and
miles of bicycle paths and nature trails.
