McGarvey to showcase High Tide model during Parade of Homes
February 19, 2017

McGarvey Custom Homes will showcase its 3,507-square-foot High Tide furnished model during the 2017 Collier Building Association’s Single Site Parade of Homes to be held Friday through Sunday, Feb. 17 through 19 and Friday through Sunday, Feb. 24 through 26 at Naples Reserve. Homebuyers are invited to visit the High Tide model between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on each day of the Parade.

The beautifully designed and finished residence is in Naples Reserve’s Parrot Cay neighborhood and features an interior by Jinx McDonald Interior Designs. The floor plan includes a great room, island kitchen, and dining area that opens to a 1,132-square-foot screened outdoor living space with a year-round kitchen, fireplace, conversation and dining areas, and a pool and spa. The plan offers four bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths, a study and a three-car garage. The High Tide model is priced at $1.595 million, with furnishings.

In keeping with Naples Reserve’s southern coastal architectural style, the High Tide model’s design is based on the relaxed charm of an Old Florida home. Playful colors contrast with white and neutral grays to present a cheerful ambiance. The exterior is finished in a Caribbean sea blue with light green Bahama shutters and white trim work. Inside, the main living area walls are painted a soft green above white bead board topped with a white chair rail. The flooring in the living areas is gray-beige wood-look tile.

A double-door entry opens into a long foyer that affords views through the great room to the pool and lanai. An open white console table accommodates two bright blue ottomans tucked underneath. Above the console, a decorative mirror reflects the home’s ambiance, while artwork adds a layer of sophistication.

A hallway off the foyer leads to two guest suites and the study where the wood-look flooring continues. The color palette evolves to shades of gray, white, and soft blue. A white chair rail provides definition between the soft gray tone above and metallic silver geometric wallpaper below. Two freestanding bookcases flank the window while a grand white desk and chair float in front. Artwork in muted light blues add subtle color.

Upon entering the great room, a wet bar is recessed immediately on the left. White cabinetry is adorned with a pure white quartz counter top and a coordinating backsplash. The upper cabinets feature glass doors. The great room’s entertainment wall includes a custom feature. The central floor-to-ceiling section has been bumped out, adorned with white-on-white textural applied moldings, and displays a 70-inch wall-mounted television. On either side, recessed sections finished in white showcase base cabinetry with open display shelving above. In front of this feature wall, a neutral sofa and two armchairs upholstered in soft green are gathered around a rattan-based rectangular white cocktail table. Floral print pillows and decorative accessories add pops of color. The arrangement is anchored by an area rug and complemented by a sofa table and two round end tables in white.

The dining area between the great room and kitchen features a rectangular white table with a lacquered finish. In flamboyant contrast, the fully upholstered dining chair feature bold shades of blue. Center-opening sliding glass doors extending 32 feet across the back of the great room and dining room are framed by drapery panels in tropical blues and greens against a white background.

All of the cabinetry in the gourmet kitchen is in white and topped with sea pearl granite counter tops featuring swirls of gray-blue and gray-green.  A classic subway tile backsplash in solid gray unites the kitchen tones. Wooden backless bar stools are tucked under the counter-height island for a streamlined presentation. By the pantry, a long wall of cabinetry extends into the dining area and is customized to suggest a buffet furniture piece with upper storage for dishes and serving ware.

The sliders open to an outdoor living and pool area within a screened enclosure that encourages relaxation. A see-through fireplace adorned with porcelain tile in a light textured gray provides a focal point within the conversation area. A white-framed sofa and two chairs with classic Chippendale lattice backs feature cushions in blue, green, and white tones with vivid accent pillows. A cocktail table and white accent tables provide contrast with two blue print ottomans. The outdoor kitchen’s light gray cabinetry and bar is topped by black counters with a coordinating backsplash. Three gray bar stools provide casual seating while the dining area features a white dining table and chairs enhanced by colorful cushions.

A private vestibule from the great room leads to the master suite. A white horizontal tongue-in-groove detail on the entire headboard wall provides a backdrop for the fully upholstered bed with a geometric print of blues, white, and green, dressed with white linens and vibrant accent pillows. The remaining walls are painted in a muted waterscape blue that blends with the soft gray carpet and medium gray finish of the nightstands and dresser. Sheer white drapery panels frame the windows on the side wall where a love seat provides a reading spot.

The master bathroom is accessed via a hallway with his and her closets. The flooring transitions to a 20-by-20-inch porcelain tile. The walls are painted in the same waterscape blue of the master bedroom above a white chair rail with white tongue-in-groove detailing below. The his and her vanity cabinetry is in white and topped with Cristallo natural quartz counters. The tile continues in the shower with a footrest running along the back wall. The footrest is topped with Cristallo quartz while the wall above shimmers with an aqua tile detail. In the center of the room, a 36-inch round ottoman in a white Sunbrella terrycloth provides a place to dry off.  In the water closet, a wallpaper of geometric white designs on an aqua blue background adds finesse.

McGarvey’s unfurnished, move-in ready Sea Grape residence is under construction in Parrot Cay. The 3,155-square-foot Sea Grape floor plan includes three bedrooms, four baths or three baths plus a powder bath, a study, and a two-car garage with a large storage area. The living area’s great room, dining room, and island kitchen includes a wet bar and opens to a covered lanai with a year-round kitchen and multiple sitting areas. A custom pool includes a sun shelf and a spa.
